During your stay at runescape, there will be many times when you die. The question that is most frequently asked to me is how do I survive in runescape? Humans, demons, or dragons are always killing me! Well, here is a guide for survival for non-members.
Here is the most basic tip that you will ever get, don’t fight people who appear in red. They will slaughter you! If you are in a multi zone, wait for someone else to attack a monster before you attack it. If it attacks you before you attack it, run and hide until it attacks someone else. Hiding behind fences and ranging or maging works just as well. Working in teams is your best bet to survival.
The wilderness, the best place to go if you want to die… Unfortunately, no one really wants to die in the wilderness. The best thing to do in the wilderness is to invite your friends along. Never team with more than the amount of people in your original team. This is for safety purposes. If they were to backstab you, you would probably get killed. It is unwise to go deep into the wilderness by yourself unless you have no items or one item and pray. Teams are usually found in deeper levels of the wild.
Never follow people you aren’t friends with anywhere. They may lure you into places that will get you killed. I have seen people get lured into greater demons, lesser demons, hobgoblins, and hill giants. New players have the worst luck when it comes to following people. You should also log out before you leave the room in case of a random event killing you. I have seen a guy with full rune leave the room when he was fishing. A river troll came and killed him. That was 250k down the drain because he had some money on him. Good luck surviving my fellow runescapians and watch out for vampires.

Black Knight's Fortress
Difficulty: EasyItems Needed: Cabbage, Bronze Medium Helmet, Iron ChainbodyLength: MediumRequirements: A minimum of twelve quest points and able to survive attacks when fighting with level 33 knightsDescription: Oh No! What are the Black Knight (Bad Guys) up to now? Their Mischief! Well, with the help of the White Knights (Good Guys), You will experience the joy of spying on the Black Knights and crashing their plans! Ha-ha doesn't that sound fun?
Quest Instructions:
1.) Well the starting point would be in the White Knight's Castle which is located in Falador. Start this Quest by talking to Sir Amik Varze. He is located in the castle on the third floor. When you talk to him, he will tell you that the Black Knights are planning to get rid of the White Knights. To stop the Black Knights from do this, the White Knights are going to ask you to spy on them. When he does ask you, Accept his challenge.
2.) Next thing to do is to head to the Monastery. You should find it located east of the Ice Mountain. As soon as you get there just look north and you will find cabbages growing there. Go ahead and pick one up.
3.) Now, this is where the fun begins! o ahead to the North of the ice mountains. There you will find the Black Knight's Fortress. If you have the Bronze Medium Helmet and the Iron Chain body, it is now time to wield them. So, if you do have them, Skip the next step. If you don't, then here is how to get the items:
Cabbage: Read step 2 above. It should tell you where to get the cabbage.
Bronze Medium Helmet: Getting the bronze medium helmet should be pretty easy. You could either mine a copper and a tin ore and smelt them to make a bronze bar. Once you make the bronze bar, then take it to any anvil including the hammer and make the Bronze Medium Helmet. Also you can buy it at any local general store for about five to ten gold points. To smith, this you would have to have an experience level of one.
Iron Chain body: The Iron chain body has the same concept. It can be player made. All you need is to mine a few iron ores and then take them to the furnace and smelt them. Keep in mind that you only have 50% chance of getting the iron bar, and that is precicely the reason why I tell you to mine several. Finally, make sure you have three iron bars. Also to smith it, you would have to have an experience level of 26. Also you will be able to buy the chain body at any local general store or you can buy it at the Chain body Store located in Varrock.
** I strongly suggest you get these items before you start the quest. With them in hand, it will not take that long to complete, compared to not having them along with you. **
** Also I would suggest that you bring runes to teleport, back to Falador at the end, so that you can save some valuable time, but you need the right amount of maging level to do this. **
4.) Okay, so you now have the items. You should have by now already wielded the Armor. You should find a door in the Central Fortress. You should be able to find it on the South. Next, push the door to go upstairs. Okay, now that you are inside, you can put on your regular armor for the rest of the quest.
5.) After you push the wall, climb to the top floor of the fortress. You should then find a ladder to go downstairs. You can go down that ladder now. Open the door on the East now. You will find a ladder you need to climb. It will take you to a room, where you will find two cannons and a black knight. Now, climb down the ladder to your East. You will come to another room, where you should be able to find the Zamorak Alter. Once you have opened the door, a Black Knight will then come attack you. You can choose to not fight it just by simply walking away.
6.) Continue the quest by climbing the laddert on your Southwest. You should now be in a small room. Right now, we will start spying on the black knights. Go to the grill and pick the option 'listen at grill'. You should be able to see a witch who says the weapon is almost ready. To finish the weapon, she will need the cabbage that grows in Draynor Manor, and any other cabbage will destroy the weapon. And that's your cue to destroying the weapon.
7.) Ok, so head back downstairs to the main floor and push the wall to get out. Open the door to your East. Now a guard will come up to you and tell you that the Black Knights are holding a very important meeting, that they will kill anyone who gets in. Tell the guard that you are brave and then you go inside.
Once you are inside, a black knight will attack you. Again, you can choose to kill it or to just simply walk away and go up the ladder. Walk East, then go south and you will see a wall. Choose the option to push the wall. You will find a hole on the floor. Do you still have that cabbage you picked? Well! now it's time for you to drop it in the hole. The cabbage will now fall in the cauldron and destroy the weapon. Great Work! Now your job is complete!
8.) To finish the quest, head back to Falador and talk to Sir Amik Varz. You may also teleport there, to make it faster. He will then reward you.
Finally,
Congratulations!! You have completed the Black Knight's Fortress Quest!A job well done!

Runescape non-member Pking Guide
Pking, or player killing, is one of the most favorite pastimes in Runescape history. The deeper you go the harder it is to survive. Jagex, they creators of Runescape, created new items and armor to ensure the combat triangle to stay alive. Unfortunately, they did not count on people making hybrids to combat and destroy the combat triangle. Here is the most recent guide to defeating all and save money in the wild.
Ranger pures: Ranger pures enjoy their speed and mild damage in any battle. Also they have d-hide armor that protects them from mages in combat. Standard inventory for rangers include 24 food varieties and 3 teleport runes. They should have an empty space to pick up fallen arrows. Their armor should be d-hide chaps and vambraces. Their weapon of choice is definitely the bow. Arrows depend on the type of bow their using.
Ranger def: Ranger def are very good against def warriors and pures. They don't do much damage considering how much a normal ranger should but they make up for that by using rune chains. Standard armor for def rangers should include either full d-hide or rune chain in place of d-hide for those who have not completed dragon slayer. They should wear rune full helm and amulet of accuracy. Their bow and arrow should depend on their range level though I recommend not becoming a ranger def until level 60 range.
Ranger mage: These rangers have the ability to take down warriors really well. They use range to annoy the enemy and take their health down to around 16 then mage them for an automatic hit. Defeating ranger mages take pures or def rangers because their d-hide can block them. Standard and recommended armor includes death runes, air staff to trick opponent into taking off armor, power amulet, and d-hide chaps. Bow and arrow once again depend on the pkers level in range.
Ranger warrior: These are probably the most effective fighters on a non-member world. Their range is used to maintain a good speed and the 2-hand combo works well with ranger warriors. It is recommended to have 70+ strength and 60+ ranges before attempting this for the best performance. The bow should always be a short bow for maximum speed. Standard equipment is rune 2-hands, full d-hide, power amulet, bow and arrow, and rune full helm.
Warrior def: These warriors are very pesky to other pkers because of their defense. Fortunately for mages, they don't hit high and def does not matter to mages because they usually hit them anyways. Standard armor includes full rune and rune chain in place of rune plate body in case they did not do dragon slayer quest. Rune scimitars are the most common weapons for them but long swords have better chances of hitting the opponent. Some def noobs bring rune 2-hands to do the combo. Amulet of strength, defense, or power is recommended. I recommend adamant armor because its very cheap compared to rune and still does a lot of def. Mages also can't very well against adamant compared to rune even though they still hit them. It is recommended to also bring range armor like leather body so they can get defense against mage.
Warrior pures: this is considered the most effective and cheap pker at level 40-60. They can do immense damage to any type of pker except for def rangers and warriors. Also they should have 25 pray or more to keep their weapon in case of death. If you see a warrior pure, you really should not challenge him or her because they will waste your food and even if you were to win, they would keep their weapon. Recommended armor include mage robes, priest gowns, shade robes, or monk robes. They should also carry an iron kite as a shield for some def. You never really know when some def will come in handy.
Warrior mages: Warrior mages are very ineffective because their armor takes off mage attacks. NEVER BE A WARRIOR MAGE! IT IS A WASTE OF TIME, RUNES, AND ARMOR. YOU WILL LOSE ANY FIGHT AS A WARRIOR MAGE! BE WARNED.
Mages def: These guys will lose most fights because def waste their leveling and makes them vulnerable to stronger fighters. Never be one of these guys either.
Mages pure: These guys work well as a non-member until the level of 35. After a while, pures can defeat them. They can still defeat Def noobs until level 60+ Mages do work well in clans because they can bind. Mages are considered the most expensive and every 100-death rune used or 200 chaos runes used must be used with extreme caution. You don't want to waste money.Thank you and good luck in the wilderness.

Runescape Member Benefits
Exploring the magical world of Runescape doesn't require becoming a member—you can sign up for a free account and have access to a good portion of the game. However, only members (those who pay for their account) can access many of the features and locations that really make Runescape a great game. Here are a few of the reasons becoming a member.
The World Expands
Free users on Runescape have a good sized world to explore, but members have nearly three times as much content to check out. There are many new locations, dungeons, and cities that are only available to members. New content is always being added, as well, and much of it is members-only. Why limit yourself to a small magical land when you could explore an entire fantastic world?
More Quests, More Rewards
Free users have a good number of quests to do, but members have a good 150 or more on top of these. Many of these members-only quests have better rewards or provide more challenges than those available to free players. A lot of the specific holiday quests and special event quests are only available to members as well, so if you want to experience all of the stories and adventures in Runescape, you have to join.
Even More Skills
Members have access to other skills to train in. Players can train in agility, do some farming, and even build their own house using the construction skill. Fletchers can create their own arrows, thieves can still gold and items from monsters, slayers can defeat more powerful monsters, and herblore masters have the ability to make potions and poisons. These skills give players more ways of enjoying the world of Runescape plus more abilities and strategies to use when fighting their enemies.
Players with only a free account don't have the option of building their own Runescape home. These houses are one of the most unique aspects of the game. Designing and decorating your Runescape home is a lot of fun, and it provides something a little different from the usual questing and monster slaying.
New Weapons and Armor
Members have access to the top weapons and armor such as the Dragon armor set. Only members have the ability to equip these items, which are some of the most powerful and coolest looking items in the game. Members also have access to some of the more unique items, including the ability to equip and fire a cannon.
Members also have access to more ways to make money. They can access some cities and resources that players with free accounts can't, allowing them to more easily gain gold.
More Mini-Games
Players who pay their monthly membership fee can access 29 members-only mini-games. These games provide more challenges and different types of activities and rewards.
Fewer Annoyances
By joining as a member, you'll be able to play Runescape in full screen mode. This means the entire game will look bigger and better. You also won't have to deal with any of those annoying in-game advertisements that free players see. All in all, you'll enjoy the game more.
So why limit yourself? A monthly account is less than six dollars a month, and look at everything you get. As a free player, you can do a lot in the land of Runescape, but as a member, you gain access to an entire new level of gameplay. Don't limit yourself to seeing only a fraction of what this magical world entails

Runescape Maps

The world of Runescape is a very huge place. Maps of this huge world can help us get around. Some maps are player made to help find where to go in certain scenarios such as quests. In the top right corner of Runescape, you will find a thing called a mini map. This shows a little of what's around you at the moment. If you want a full sized map of Runescape, you could click on the World Map button and get a very detailed map with a search bar. Let's take a look at the World Map.I'm sure all of this could be a bit confusing so I will explain a bit of it. Let's start with the search bar. Up in the top left corner there is a button that says - Find. When you click it, it pops up a bar that says Enter place name to find. As you type letters, it gives you choices to go to. If you type A, you will get Al Kharid, B is Brimhaven, C is Crandor and so on. The more letters you type, the closer you will get to the place you are searching for.
On to the Map Key. If you are familiar with map keys, they show what's on the map. Such as mountains, roads, rivers, and so on. In Runescape, the map key means a bit of the same, but instead of roads, streams, and mountains you get Altars, shield shops, archery shops, Furnaces, Mining sites, General Stores and so forth. When you click on, it flashes where they are all over the map. If I were to click Altar, it would show me every place there is an altar located
You can also have zoom features. From 37% to 50%, to 75% and 100%. You can also click Overview and see the complete world in one. When you do this, you will see some black areas. This means that this area has not been explored, but in true life it means that they have not put anything there.
Maps can be very helpful if you're lost, or just need to know where to go next. The world map of Runescape can be very helpful, and there are many features to it to help players on their journeys. If you were to need to find the dark wizards tower from Lumbridge swamps and you had no idea where in the world it was, you could simply open up the world map and type in Dark Wizards' Tower, Hit enter and off you will fly to it. It can be very helpful in times like these.
When you're zoomed at 37% and you look upon East Ardougne, you might get a headache from all of the words. Nevertheless, when you zoom 100% you can see more details of the roads and places in East Ardougne. Such as where the banks are and how to get to the zoo. Who knows, you might find something to go search for on the map that you have never seen before. It's always fun to get lost in Runescape and try to find your way back. Maps can help you find your way back easily.
Therefore, as you can see, Runescape Maps can be really useful if you put them to use. Weather you use them for quests, getting lost, or just to look at how big Runescape really is; Runescape Maps always are impressive. Have fun exploring all the world of Runescape by using all the maps and features. You may find many things that you never knew existed.

Runescape Leveling Guide

Hello! There are many methods on leveling up. Some people try to sell these methods for real money. I would not advise buying these books because most of them just contain the same old reused information. I am going to list some good leveling methods. Just think of it as your own personal Runescape Leveling Guide. Enjoy.
Let's start with one of my Favorite skills, cooking!
I prefer to fish lobsters at Catherby and cook them, then bank them at the near by bank. But, if you are not interested in fishing, I suggest getting level 60 cooking by cooking anything you can get your hands on, then buy as many lobsters as it takes to get to level 99. Of course this takes money, and if you are short on cash then you will want to fish your own.

Runescape Fishing Leveling Guide
While we are on the topic, let me tell you about fishing. As I told you, I prefer fishing atCatherby, You can easily fish at the shore, than when you get a full inventory go bank them.If you are looking to make money, do not cook the fish. However, if you want to level both the fishing AND the cooking, there is a house right next to the bank where you can cook them. I suggest keeping at least 2 banks slots open, one for cooked and one for burnt. Then when you are done fishing you can just withdraw the burnt fish as a note and you wont have to mess with dropping each one individually.
Mining Leveling
The fastest way to level up your mining is with Iron. It is fast and it gives good experience. The faster the better in the world of leveling. This is true because if you can mine, say, 20 of one rock, while it takes you the same amount of time to mine another. So less experience points and less mining time is better than more mining time and more experience.

Woodcutting
People tell me to power cut Normal Trees until you reach level 30, then you cut Oak Trees. After you can cut Willow Trees, start cutting. The best place to cut Willow Trees is in Draynor Village. You can cut those until level 99.
Crafting
I am not a crafter, it is a boring skill in my opinion, but I have heard to buy normal or tannedCowhides and then make them into the best leather you can. Many people tell me that making Tiaras is a good way as well.

Hunting Leveling
I love to hunt in Runescape. It is a very fun skill and I spent a week out in the wild leveling up in it. I enjoyed it very much, I have not heard too much on how to level up your hunting fast, but I will tell you a good method I have invented.
From level 1 to 7, hunt Polar Kebbits. From 7 to 13, hunt Deldip Weasels. After you have reached level 13, start hunting Desert Devils. Hunt on them until you reach level 23. Then start hunting Wild Kebbits. When you hit level 33, start hunting the Barbtailed Kebbit. Hunt on those until you reach level 49.
When you reach level 49, start hunting the Razorbacked Kebbit. Hunt on those until you reach level 66. Then start hunting the Pawya. Hunt the Pawya until you get to the level 77. Then hunt the Grenwall until you are level 99!

How to Increase Your Runescape Combat Level
Saving the best for last - If you want to level up your combat fast, I suggest going into the Stronghold of Security. You can gain some major levels down there. Especially if you fight Goblins. They are fast to kill and give a fair amount of experience points. Remember, faster is better in the world of leveling! This methods are best ways to increase your levels.
Well, I hope I helped you, at least a little bit, haha! Happy Playing!

Runescape Jobs for Beginners

When you start out, you are not going to be able to make loads of money with skills. Nevertheless, do not fear. There are some jobs out there for even the new players. Yes, if you want to make money in the beginning you are going to have to find some jobs in order to pay for things you want, just as in the real world. Some players are very busy and would rather pay someone to gather the items they need or want instead of doing all the work themselves. This is a great way to make some quick coins. With some jobs, you may even gain a few levels, such as killing cows and gathering their hides. The more you kill, the more levels you gain along with more money.
Though the players usually will not pay loads of money, it's a start. Another runescape job would be a cook. More and more members are getting houses and thus they need some help in their huge house. So, if you were to stand outside the house portal and offer your services, then you might get hired as a cook or some other type of help. The bigger the house the richer the player. (remember this so you don't get ripped off but also remember that these are just simple jobs and won't pay too much.)

Another good idea for a job would be a farmer. If you get with a friend that's working as a cook in someone's house, you can supply him or her with the items needed to fix all kinds of meals. Would you like a couple recipes?
One of the main things you will be making is tea. It's fun to make and easy to make. All of the things you will need will be in the kitchen (unless they don't have something but most of the time everything you need is there.) Another good item to make is Scrambled Eggs. Take an egg and a bowl. Put the egg in the bowl and cook it. Cakes are also good. You will need an egg, flower, milk and a cake tin. Put all the ingredients in the cake tin and cook it. Cook all of these and you have a really good meal

Being a chef is a really fun job, and so is being a farmer. A cook is more of a fast-paced job, while being a farmer is more calm and relaxing. (On the hand, sometimes it can get boring.) My favorite spot to farm is north of Port Sarim, behind the cabbage patch. It's nice and quite and the people there are usually nice. Tip: Put your weeds in the compost bin and make some good fertilizer for your crops. I like to mix a couple weeds in, with some tomatoes and potatoes. It's not like super compost but it works well. Also, plant some marigolds. They will protect your potato and tomato plants from disease.
There are lots of different jobs out there to be had. Some make more money than others do, but a lot of them are fun. Remember, if you like the job you are doing it goes a lot faster and you can make a lot more money.
A couple more jobs that might interest you would be to become a thief and steal from the computers. You can make a fair amount of money from this, unless your beaten to death by the farmer. Nevertheless, once you get past pick-pocketing, move on to stalls. You can make a lot more money with stalls than pick pocketing.

Runescape Holiday Quests

Every year Runescape throws huge parties for different occasions. The three most common are; Easter, Halloween, and Christmas. On these three days, Jagex sends out a NPC and a new quest. If you do the quest (Which is usually easy), you will be rewarded with a Holiday item. Although at the time everyone will have one, so you wont feel special, but once the event is over and they have been taken out of circulation, you can have quite a bit of fun with people who have not seen what it does. There is an Easter ring that can turn you into an egg.
It is always fun when someone walks by and the egg sitting on the road speaks to them. My favorite party has always been the Easter party. The holiday items are usually magical and you can have loads of fun with them. One year they passed out Rubber Chickens and you can walk up and "whack" people with it. Not too many people have these anymore, so it's always fun to wield one, walk up, and whack a random person out of the wilderness. They will usually freak out and ask questions like "How did you do that?!” The holiday parties are always big, and loads of fun. The last Easter party you actually got to become a bunny! I bet by now you cannot wait for the next holiday quest! Haha, Happy Playing!
Runescape High Definition

If you played Runescape before the High Definition update, then I am sure you are very pleased they finally updated. Runescape use to look very bad compared to the other Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Games. Although they are still not the best graphic-wise, I am sure this new update will urge players to come back. Runescape is web-based, and as such it can not run excellent graphics as the other games you download can.
Runescape first introduced the High Definition on July 1, 2008 to pay to play members only. 13 days later, they released it to Free to play members. There are still some differences between free to play and pay to play, such as Pay to play members can go into full screen play. Jagex plans to implement this into free to play, but they must first find a way to advertise in full screen mode.
Jagex has also released many other updates along with the High Definition one. They have completely redone their banking system. Now it is fully equipped to help you organize your bank! There is a search bar, and you can even create up to eight tabs! Along with that, they have also brought Item Lending into the game. Now you can lend out many of your items. This includes dozens of Runescape's best weapons and armor! They also redid the Tutorial Island, everything from the creation of your player to the explorations of Runescape.
Lumbridge is now a whole new place where you can make some quick coins. Here is a quote from the Official Runescape News;
"In return for completing some tasks, you can receive a modest, but prompt, payment from various people in our Lumbridge Moneymaking update. So, if you're feeling poor, the people of Lumbridge will help you to recover your finances - in return for a little hard work."

Runescape Gravestones
Death is very common in the game of Runescape. If you die, you will respawn in Lumbridge most likely. If you do die, you will be able to keep 3 of your most valuable items. There are some exceptions of course. Runescape Gravestones allow you a chance to get those lost items back. You will have 2 to 5 minutes to get to the place you died before your gravestone rots away. Players can also repair and bless your gravestone so that it can stay there longer. This gives you an even greater chance of getting those lost items back to their rightful owner.
The value of an item is decided by the game, not market value. So make sure you check what items will be kept on death. It would be a shame to loose a party hat just because you died. Everyone starts out with a Memorial Plaque as his or her gravestone. This gives you 2 minutes to get back there. There are other Runescape Gravestones that you can get. Free to play members can get a Flag (50 gold), a Small Gravestone (500 gold), or an Ornate Gravestone (5,000 gold). All of them except the Ornate Gravestone allow you 2 minutes. The Ornate Gravestone will give you 3 minutes.To get these gravestones you will have to have completed the Restless Ghost quest. After you have completed it, you can talk to Father Aereck in the Lumbridge Church to get one. If you are a member and have completed The Giant Dwarf quest, you can talk to Blasidar the Sculptor in Keldagrim to get access to even better gravestones. Blasidar's house is east of the Consortium Palace. These gravestones are;
Font of Life - 4 minutes 50,000 goldStele - 4 minutes 50,000 goldSymbol of Saradomin - 4 minutes 50,000 goldSymbol of Zamorak - 4 minutes 50,000 goldSymbol of Guthix - 4 minutes 50,000 goldSymbol of Bandos - 4 minutes 50,000 goldSymbol of Armadyl - 4 minutes 50,000 goldAncient Symbol - 4 minutes 50,000 goldAngel of Death - 5 minutes 500,000 gold

Runescape Fast Leveling Guide
Are your levels coming way to slow? Do you long for a Runescape Fast Leveling Guide to help you level up with ease? Then you have come to the right place! There are many ways of leveling out there. Some obviously take longer than others. I will name some that I have heard of or tried, but of course, I cannot name them all as there are way too many. Feel free to comment below and add some of your favorite fast leveling techniques.
» Mining - You can always "power mine" a lot of iron with a rune pick axe in places where there are a lot of rocks, to I'm told the level of 90, and then use coal. Of course, level 90 seems like a long way to go on iron, so perhaps there is a better ore. However, Iron is fast and gives some good exp for the time it takes to mine it. Usually faster beats out more exp. Because in the time it takes you to mine one rock, you could have mined about 10 of another.
» Fishing - I have heard that fly-fishing at Barbarian village is a good way, along with Shilo Village. I personally fish at Catherby. I fish at the shore, run to the house next to the bank and cook (or burn) the fish and then bank them both. This way, instead of dropping thousands of fish one at a time, I can do it in one easy step with a note.
» Cooking - My way is above, but I have also heard to get 60 by cooking the best items you can and then buy raw lobby's to cook your way to 99.
» Firemaking - I have heard from a lot of people just to burn the best log you can. They also tell me to burn near a bank. Though I'm not sure why, unless they mean for you to be able to run in and grab another inventory full. Other than that, I can't see another reason for burning by a bank. Maybe it's some sort of fire maker's code.

Runescape Combat Triangle
The Runescape Combat Triangle is an in-depth yet simple battle method to ensure success in the wilderness, most likely. Basically, it's a Rock Paper Scissors situation. Although there are many other factors, this is what the Runescape Combat Triangle is based on. Let me break it down for you.
» Meelee beats Range.» Range beats Mage.» Mage beats Meelee.
Simple enough? Let's see why this rule applies.
Meelee vs. Range:If you're out there using Meelee, and you come across a Ranger, your plate armor is going to reflect a lot of the Ranger's arrows and cause little to no damage to you. Then you can advance on the Ranger and slash through the weak leather. Once your close enough to hit them, they are practically powerless because their arrows do even less damage.
Range vs. Mage:Ok, you're a Ranger this time. You happen to spot a mage, and you send a flow of arrows their way. The Magic Robes they wear lowers their long-range defenses. Thus, the arrows just fly right into them. Your leather protects greatly against the magic attacks. Also, a Mage takes quite awhile to recharge and fire again, while a ranger is quick on the battle field.
Mage vs. Meelee:Alright, Mage you are. You're out strolling around with a pocket full of runes, Then... What's that? Some guy with Rune on! You start casting some spells, which his heavy armor will make the magic attack stronger. You keep your distance, as he tries to get close enough for an attack his armor slows him down. All the while your firing huge magic attacks on him.
Now that you have a basic idea of how the Runescape Combat Triangle works, lets talk about how you can change the rules for a better advantage.
Meelee vs. Range Turn out 2:Say the Ranger has Full Green Dragonhide, Great stats, about 25 magic. As your trying to get closer to him, he keeps using Bind on you. This is holding you a good distance away from him, and all the while, you're just getting pounded over and over by his arrows. In this situation, the Ranger can win. If you eventually get close to the ranger, he can simply bind you again, and switch to a shortbow, or just run a little further away.
Range vs. Mage Turn out 2:This time, the mage was prepared for a surprise attack from a ranger, and brought along some plate legs and a shield. Regardless of the magical drain it gives, the mage is able to block a lot of your attacks, and send waves of magic at you. This battle could go on for awhile, but most likely the mage would win.
Meelee vs. Mage Turn out 2:This time the guy with rune on decided to bring a set of Dragonhide just in case. He slips it on real fast, along with an Anti-Dragon Breath Shield. Your magic is doing little to no damage now. He runs up and begins slashing through those weak mage robes. Slash after slash your health bar goes down, you try to teleport, but you're too deep in the wilderness! You try to run, but after five steps you fall.
So there you have it. Obviously, this is Runescape, and as such, anything is possible. The Runescape Combat Triangle is not always a fact. No matter how many people say it is, it is not. There are so many opinions out there to do things. Especially about Player Killing.

Runescape Combat

Runescape Combat is thought by most to be the largest part of Runescape. Players can fight each other, in the wilderness and various mini games, As well as battle a wide array of Monsters. The fact is, the warriors of Runescape are one of the best people that keep the economy striving. They buy cooked food so they wont die, potions to help boost their stats, as well as armor and weapons, and enchanted jewelry.
How do they make their money?
Although the warriors of Runescape keep a lot of the economy afloat with all of their spending, they are making money as well. If they kill someone in the wilderness who is "skulled" they will get everything that person had, and even if they are not skull, they will get everything except the best three items on the person.
So if one had say, full rune, and you killed them, you would still get something rune from the kill, even thought they would get to keep three rune items (maybe). PKing (player killing) can be an ok way to make cash, but it is not the best by far, and anyone will tell you that. You risk more going into the wilderness than you will get coming out. Fear not, the warriors do not make their money in the wilderness! They make their money fighting monsters of Runescape and collecting their valuable drops.

What are drops?
Drops is a term used for items that are dropped by monsters when they are killed. The higher-level monster they kill, the better drops they get. If they can kill high-level monsters, they can get very valuable drops and then sell them for money. So yes, you have some money on you in the beginning, because the low level monsters will not have very good drops at all.

I want to be a warrior, what do I train on?
Defiantly find a monster that you can kill fast. It is always better to have speed over more experience. Say you can kill a monster in 1 minute and get 10 experience points (unrealistic, I know). While you can kill this monster in 20 seconds and receive 5 experience points. That means in the same time it takes you to get 10 experience points on one monster, you could kill 5 and get 25 experience points! That is just an example of course, but a lot of times you have situations like that. Therefore, you need to watch how much experience you get per kill, and compare it to other monsters. Decide which ones you can kill to level up faster. Goblins are one of the best level up monsters. Terrible drops but quick to kill.

Runescape Clue Scroll

If you're bored and wondering around Runescape, why not attack that Guard over there? You never know, it might drop a Runescape Clue Scroll. If you have a Clue Scroll, then its time to start your treasure trail. There are three different levels of Treasure Trails, each with a better reward than the last. To get a higher level Clue Scroll you have to kill a higher-level monster. For a level one clue scroll, you will have to kill a monster between the levels of 2 and 48, for level two you will have to kill ones in the range of 21 to 149 and for level three you will need to kill in the levels of 56-304.
There are a couple other ways to get a Runescape Clue Scroll other than killing monsters. One way is with Shade Chests. A Bronze chest would give you a level one clue scroll, the Steel chest hands out level one and two, the Black Chests give level two, and the Silver Chests toss out level threes. You could also pickpocket H.A.M. members to get a level one clue scroll. If you happen into the Zogre Cavern and get a key from one of the monsters, use the key on one of the coffins and you might get a nice level one clue scroll.

Runescape Ancient Magicks Guide

There are several different types of magic in the world of Runescape. Which branch of powerful spells a player uses depends on several things. Ancient Magicks can only be used by players who pay the monthly membership fee, and even then, they must complete the Desert Treasure quest. Players may only use one type of magick at a time.
Players gain access to the Ancient Magicks by praying inside the pyramid. Once they do so, they can use Ancient Magicks but not normal spells—they have to pray again to switch back. Praying drains away all of a player's prayer points. Note that the first time a player travels through the pyramid; they must go through the entire area. However, once they reach the altar, they'll gain the ability to use the shortcut to get directly to the altar from outside, saving a lot of time.
Types of Ancient Magicks
Ancient Magicks come in two types: teleport spells and damage spells. Spells can also be broken down by element. A few spells have restrictions on them. For example, Miasmic spells can only be cast by players who have Zuriel's Staff equipped.

Blood spells heal the player and damage the enemy.» Ice spells freeze and hurt the target.» Shadow spells damage the target and lower their attack power.» Smoke spells damage and poison the target.» Miasmic spells damage the target and lowers its melee and ranged attack power.
There are also four different classes of spells:
Rush spells do high damage to a single target.Blitz spells do very high damage to a single target.Burst spells do high damage to enemies in a 3 x 3 area.Barrage spells do very high damage to all enemies in a 3 x 3 area.
Ancient Magick Spells
Players can open their spell books to view all of the Ancient Magick spells that they know. These spells use more runes than normal spells, so players should be careful about using Ancient Magick over and over. These magicks do give experience like normal spells, plus players receive two magic experience for each point of damage they do with Ancient Magick spells.
Some of the Ancient Magick spells are listed below.
Home Teleport – teleports the player to Edgeville. No runes are required for this teleport spell, but players can only cast it once every 30 minutes.

Beginner's Guide to Runescape
Runescape is a massive online web-based RPG that has caught a lot of interest over the past few years. It has grown tremendously, and it should have, because it's a great game. If your new to it, then keep reading this guide will talk you through how to make a good start on the game, and give you a taste of what the game has to offer. Read on.
You start on Tutorial Island, here, you'll learn all the basics of combat, cooking, fishing, fire making a lot of the skills basically. The tutorials on the island are very interactive, so you'll learn most of the basics on that. What's important though, is once you get off Tutorial Island what do you do? Where do you go? All is explained in this guide.
Once you get off Tutorial Island, you end up in Lumbridge, the starting village of Runescape. Here you'll find a lot of low level monsters for you to kill, and collect loot off – gold pieces, feathers, bones, the lot but are you looking for a better way to start off? Being an experienced player, I would suggest that you actually look to expertise in one skill for now, and really push your development on that one skill. For example, a good skill to start with is mining. It's requirements are very basic, all you need is a pickaxe, and the right mining area. You’ll be supplied with a pickaxe so there's no need to worry about that.
Mining is very interesting. You gain experience in mining dependant on the ores you mine. You receive a certain amount of experience every time you mine that type of ore, and as your levels increase, you're able to mine a much larger variety of ores.
The reason why mining is a good skill to start off with, is because you can combine it with smithing, the skill of making armours in order to make yourself your first set of armour. Plus, once you get to about level 30 mining, you can make quite a lot of money through the mining of iron and coal as they both sell for a nice amount each.
To start off mining, just make sure you've got your pickaxe in your inventory (or you can equip it by clicking on it in your inventory), and head off down to the nearest mines. The nearest mines from Lumbridge and one of the best to start off in, in my own opinion is the south-east Varrock mines. Just head north from Lumbridge (cross the bridge) and you should hit Varrock pretty soon (it's best if you open up the World Map that Runescape provides you above the gaming screen). If you haven't already, deposit all items (there is a bank in Varrock) you've got in your inventory except your pickaxe (if you haven't equipped it) and head off to the mines.
Start off by mining copper, and then once you hit the appropriate level, move onto more challenging ores like iron. If you want more information on mining ores, and the level requirements to mine them along with the different level requirements for using different pickaxes, check out this page.Related Keywords: Beginner's Guide, beginner's runescape, guide, runescape beginners, runescape guide begin
